Hi Sam, I have the AUTODOC app, but doesn’t seem to take in Irish registrations or have Ireland as a selection for currency. How did you get over this.

We have owned six Range Rovers over the years, from a 3.5 litre Petrol V8 Classic, manual gearbox, through a couple of 3.9 Fuel Injection Classics, to a 4.6 V8 P38, then a 4.4V8 Petrol L322 that we had for 14 years before buysing a 4.2 Supercharged Sport which we had for 3 months before selling it and buying a 4.2 Supercharged L322 which is an amazing motor. The Sport isn't a 'real' Range Rover, one of its main failings is I found it difficult to get into because of the smaller doors, and also the split rear tailgate was an issue becuase we have dogs and our dog cage from the L322 wouldnt foit. With you on the L405 and the very latest Velar as they seem to have become very 'bloated' and have lost some of that Range Rover magic and identity. And the Evoque should NEVER have a Range Rover badge on it!

Hi Sam. Don’t know what you think. I have a 2011 L322 4.4 and today an Orange light has come on. What does that mean please?

56 year old here. I have 2 x TDV8 3.6, and they are fantastic cars.

Had one in the other day .. did dpf egr and adblue delete .. and got it on 5w40 oil .. sounds loads better and chain don't rattle after leaving it over night now

With the gearbox aren't you supposed to undo the top plug first? Otherwise if you drain the gearbox oil first, then find you can't get the fill plug out you're not stuck with having no oil in the gearbox? I say it like I'm an expert, but I've never done it and have only learned through videos like yours! Great video as usual Sam!

the main issues with this engine is actually carbon build up i normally service these every 5k like you recommended and flush every 10k with forte and use the forte injector cleaner every 5k as well 😀. i have no idea why any car company thinks oil lasts 20k 😆 maybe if you want it to last till 60k

Hello, I have a problem with my l322., the compressor works only for a few seconds and turns off and I get the message that says SUSPENSION FAILURE YOU CAN ONLY USE THE NORMAL HEIGHT, what could it be?

2k to change the chains in that engine the 2.2 was a better engine

What mileage has that car done? I've the 2017 version. I change the oil every 5000 miles, but I plan on beefing up the timing chain and tensioners within the next couple of years

The chains are a big problem in the early 2 lt diesel now whats a big problem to is the oil change times 10km or just over and you will have no problems i us castrol 5w30 gtx on my 3.6 im looking at moving up a few years to the new range rover sport with the 4.4 sdv8

Was expecting the 2.5 asthmatic straight 6 turbo as the worst, only good for kick down on a tailgater with plumes of black smoke on 007 getaway level 😆 Yes, autodoc very good, needed new rear caliber on TDV8 recently

The nicest L322 I ever saw was in the UAE. It had all possible options buttons everywhere, and the best part was its colour: burgundy inside and out. It even had burgundy leather headlining. I believe it was some anniversary model?) The second best I saw was bronze with mocha-brown leather. My own is a 2005 L322 base Vogue, silver with navy letter cream piping. Keep up the great videos.

Hi Sam, did you get it resolved. I'd say it is down to the brand of the shocks that can vary ride quality. Did you happen to tell the car you changed to alloy wheel size as this is done and the ride height can be reset and calibrated at each corner from memory taken from the centre of each wheel hub to the highest point of the underside of the wheel arch lips. The ride could be stiffening to compensate for an incorrect height. Make sure to post when you resolve it.

What could be the problem if you get oil pressure light flashing 5 seconds after you start the car? Just changed the oil cooler. Oil filter is original and pressure sensor is replaced.

Congrats! I found that considerably more interesting to watch than I was expecting. Reminded me a little of my cycling tour of Northern Ireland in the late 60s as a schoolboy, but definitely no electrical assistance to be had then!

Great scenery! With the bikes, you might think about raising the saddle heights, as you gain confidence, so that all your leg efforts will be far more efficient, with a trade off off having to stand off the saddle at traffic lights etc.. but with them too low, you are not getting hardly any downforce.

Nice. I got this sort of thing in New Zealand. L320 (not the full fat) and a couple of ebikes. A decent suspension seatpost changes the game tbh - so comfortable.

If I part with my 4.4 TDV8 I’ll probably replace it with a late model L405 so I’d love to know whether you’ve plans for an upgrade in that direction.

Mine (second one Sam talked about in baltic blue) is still available, Rear tail gate was rusty but had all the rust cut out and professionally tig welded a repair in, I sprayed it my self to save costs and has polished up alot better than in the pictures. Genuine reason for sale and would prefer to keep it as i do love it
